Kinus Torah about the Beis HaMikdash

Hundreds of Anash gathered Wednesday evening (Gimmel Av, 5774) in Crown Heights’ Kolel Menachem for a unique Kinus Torah on the topic of the Beis HaMikdash. The annual kinus, organized by Rabbi Shmuel Pevzner of Vaad Hamosifin, a division of Merkaz Anash, features shiurim and lectures concerning the Beis HaMikdash.

The program began with a shiur by Reb Yoel Kahn about the Beis HaMikdash in Chassidus. Reb Yoel explained the advantage of the third Beis HaMikdash over the first two.

Next, Rabbi Shmuel Heber discussed the mitzva to guard the Beis HaMikdash, and the possibility that we are obligated to observe it nowadays. Rabbi Heber walked everyone through the Rambam and along the way raised interesting question and discussions.

Rabbi Shimon Hellinger made a siyum on masechta Shabbos and shared the Rebbe’s explanations on the final mishna.

After maariv Mr. Shimon Frenkel of Machon HaMikdash in Yerushalayim gave a slideshow presentation of the kohanim’s clothing. He also showed some actual samples of the fabric that is used.

May we merit the rebuilding of the Beis HaMikdash Hashlishi immediately.
